CPL Industries Limited is Europe’s leading manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler of solid fuels. Based near Chesterfield, they have been in business for more than 40 years, and have steadily grown despite adverse economic conditions.
They lead the way in the UK through supermarket, DIY and forecourt distribution channels, and supply direct to over 100,000 householders.
For their 2017 summer sale promotion, CPL were looking for an agency that could produce and deliver a postal direct mail campaign that targeted 50,000 unique residential addresses around the UK.
The capabilities and proximity of Jigsaw DPM made us the perfect supplier for CPL. We helped them to develop their brief, to ensure that we fully understood the outcomes they expected, and that they understood what we required from them.
The campaign presented included seven different eye-catching mailing pieces, each containing elements of personalisation for the recipient. We carefully selected the paper stock, so that the end product had the standout it needed, yet was light enough to keep postage costs down.
Given the quantities involved, the base pieces were litho printed, with the personalisation and address details overprinted digitally. This method also allowed us to prepare the mailing so that it was suitable for the Royal Mail Mailsort services, which offers delivery costs 45% cheaper than standard second class postage.
With artwork produced by the CPL Marketing team, we managed the printing, mail sorting, bagging and Royal Mail collection, ready for dispatch.
